I look at the metropolitan area labor force in North Dakota. These seem natural comparison groupings, though the data show serious differences that may change that impression.

I revised the data content of an earlier post and make use of clustering to again look at possible comparison groupings in North Dakota.
ND County Clusters by Income Source
In an effort to help ND counties think about peers and relative performance I started an ongoing project on this topic. This is a first pass with some differing cluster sizes and a very basic amount of data. There will be modifications to come.
A different age group in ND
I took a look at the population age 45 to 64 in ND counties because it is an age group whose retirement is most likely to be hurt by adverse economic shocks in the near future.
