The radio show today had some comments about labor markets that led me to give a name to the current national labor market situation: the Great Reallocation.
In a bit of a longer post I bring a bit more data to the discussion in terms of wages in Grand Forks compared to the other ND MSAs. It is a mixed bag but the data would not dispel the “notion” of Grand Forks as a low wage economy.
How has employment changed over the last 18 months in North Dakota and certain counties? The answer shows the possibility of nascent recovery, but it is fragile.
