BEA released the county level GDP estimates this morning. So just some quick takes on the data. For 1-year percentage change overall real GDP number Burleigh County was up just under 1 percent while Cass was up 2.8% and Grand Forks was up 1.3%.
This just came out so I have not done a deep dive but both Burleigh and Grand Forks also say decreases in GDP from the government sector of 1% or more.
There is a great deal more to dive into, but with some of the negative impressions out there about the trajectory for the Grand Forks economy and the northeast region of the state this looks to be both informative and maybe a source of further concern.
