COVID Moving averages, updated 29 October 2020

The daily numbers came in high for the daily positivity rate again for North Dakota. 15.6% is high and indicates that we are not going to see our moving average drop anytime soon.

My moving average calculation sits at 11.26% and the number of dots above that level indicate there is still significant upward pressure building. This measure crossed 10% six days ago and the very nature of a moving average means it will not quickly reverse.

We have been above 10% on the above positivity rate for the last 5 days and it will continue to rise based on the recent daily positivity data.

The test counts are increasing which is good. It really is the only way we are going to find the real rate of infection in the state right now.
