JT and I talk a great deal of baseball on the radio and my dad raised me on the Cubs. So for some fun I simulated hit streak data to see how “unlikely” the DiMaggio 56 game hit streak was.
Since traditional punishments do not appear to be forthcoming I offer up a few creative alternatives.
I made a quick comparison of a few teams at this point in the season this year and last year focusing on run differential as a big factor.
At the Cubs game last week they informed the crowd that Kris Bryant was only the 15th MLB player to win Rookie of the Year, MVP, and play on a World Series winner. I figured out the others. Feel free to comment with answers!
