In a bit of a longer post I bring a bit more data to the discussion in terms of wages in Grand Forks compared to the other ND MSAs. It is a mixed bag but the data would not dispel the “notion” of Grand Forks as a low wage economy.
What is Grand Forks? I asked this question many times on the radio with Jarrod Thomas, and it seems it is time to ask it again.
I get asked about sales tax outlook for the city so I took a look at the recent data. It points to a generally good picture with some concerns out there still.
I isolated the ND counties associated with metropolitan areas in the state to investigate positivity there.
I take a look at the local data and the issue of the level of benefits compared to local wages.
