The county level in North Dakota is concerning, just like we see at the state level. The increases in positivity and deaths are accelerating in some counties.

I give an update for the positivity data and then look at this as a percentage of the total population.

I changed the calculation slightly (to a 15 day moving average) so that it is a bit more sensible. I also provide the data broken out by larger counties. The overall picture here is not good, and Governor Burgum said it was the state’s worst statistical day.
Anyone needing a different county should send me a message telling me that.

Looking at counts for deaths avoids some of the questions surrounding the positivity rates. Put bluntly it is more difficult to argue about death.
